Egglo

An intuitive designing tool for collaboration 

Egglo is a design tool that facilitates collaboration and creativity. It allows users to create projects and share with others. With the designing tool, anyone with VR equipment and access to Unity can create a 30 model , representing of his/her embodied movement in space. The artifact is generated following the movement of the user and will be composed of simple 30 geometries called "modules" linked by an optimized structure named "nest". The user can customize the model by choosing the modules and nests in a library.

 
Several steps followed to draw an Egglo allow different types of users. For example, at the beginning of the creative process, people would move in space to draw a point cloud that documents the motion. This stage is an opportunity for people other than architects to input their knowledge into the design. Dance is one of the domains where this argument can be illustrated. The design generated by the program can be seen as a representation of the motion of a dancer in the space. The program is an opportunity to materialize movement.
